OBJECTIVE

We carry out our mission, guided by certain well-defined objective principles and strategic vision.

The main area of concern for Community Seva Centre is the development of poorest of the poor and enhancement of weaker sections of the society.

OUR PRESENT TARGET AREA'S

We are currently working in three communities in Pondicherry and Karaikal districts: Aryan Kuppam, Karaikal and Villupuram districts with 22 villages but our main focus is the Kalvarayan hills which has is 14 villages and 35 villages.

Development of the communities is encouraging with many challenges. For example the prevention of HIV/AIDS, narrowing of the distance between poor and rich, etc. For this purpose Community Seva Centre have implicated many programs and activities during the last year. The areas of most concern being health, sanitation, nutrition, education including pre-school, economic empowerment of the women and senior citizens, emergency remedies are among the main activities some of which are listed below:

To uplift the poor, downtrodden, abandoned, neglected, and delinquents of the society by providing measures for rehabilitation

To implement programmes for the advancement of women, particularly neglected, backward, exploited, widowed, and single-mothers, as to provide training facilities and opportunities for education, employment and rehabilitation through social-economic programmes.

To empower the poor rural women through organisation via self-help groups

To enable the rural poor to organize people based credit societies for the economic development of the poor people.

To educate the womenfolk in the elements of democracy without being involved in power politics.

To mobilize people towards self-reliance.

To enkindle the self-reliant and self-respectful society based on equality where social justice prevails.

Protecting child rights through providing good healthy environment, education and protection.

Women empowerment through economic and skill development programs.

Serving senior citizens through proper care and health.

Giving a helping hand to the victims during emergency.

Overall development for the backward area likes tribal and remote areas.

Joining hands with community for the better tomorrow.

Making community responsible for their development and achievements towards better life standards.
